Unchained Confirms Single-Player Mode Launching in October on Abstract
Unchained is adding a single-player mode to its pixel dungeon crawler battle royale, with the mode set to launch in October on abstractchain.
The confirmation came from unchained_game on 2026-09-23, responding to community member @NarebaCrypto, who reported trying an early version of the mode and described it as "seriously challenging." Nareba noted a best run dealing 786 damage to the dragon — a result that fell short of earning a whitelist spot tied to @YieldFields_RH.
The single-player mode represents a departure from Unchained's core format. The game, developed by Bizarre Games, Inc., drops up to 50 players into a shared dungeon where they search for equipment, engage in PvP combat, and steal loot from rivals across matches lasting 8 to 15 minutes. Winners receive instant payouts with potential returns up to 25x.
A Different Kind of Challenge
In its post, unchained_game framed the distinction directly: Nareba has "dominated" multiplayer Unchained, but single-player is "a different beast." That signals the new mode is designed around a separate skill set rather than a scaled-down version of the battle royale loop.
The announcement follows other recent activity from the project, including developer testing feedback shared by community members and a note that reaching the top three requires only a single strong game rather than cumulative scoring.
What to Watch
An exact October release date has not been disclosed. Players can expect further details on how the single-player mode ties into Unchained's existing reward structure, which currently centers on instant payouts in multiplayer sessions.
