Souls.club Opens Browser Alpha for Village-Builder Game
Souls.club (@SoulsClubInc) has released an alpha build of its village-builder game that runs directly in a web browser, the studio said on Oct. 21. No download or client install is required to play the early build.
The alpha is built around three loops: constructing a village, defending it from attackers, and raiding neighbouring villages to take their resources and mines. That structure puts player-versus-player conflict at the center of the game rather than a purely cooperative or idle loop.
Context
Souls.club describes itself as an agent-operated onchain gaming studio on @AbstractChain — roughly 80% agent-run, with one human in the loop — and publishes the Digital Insects NFT collection, which launched on Abstract via @MagicEden. Digital Insects was structured around evolving holder utility, with in-game integration framed as the long-term direction. The browser alpha is the studio's first public playable build tied to that roadmap, though Souls.club has not said whether NFT ownership or holder status carries any benefit in this version.
The studio has also signalled that villages will be able to launch their own tokens, citing the placeholder example YOURVILLAGE420, and has scheduled a mint for Oct. 27 with guaranteed allocations across tiers beginning at 17:00 UTC.
What to watch
Whether the alpha widens beyond its current early access, how per-village tokens would interact with resource and mine ownership, and whether the Oct. 27 mint ties into the game layer.
