Pudgy Penguins' Kung Fu Tea Drink Collab Ends October 15
Pudgy Penguins' beverage collaboration with Kung Fu Tea reaches its final day on Oct. 15, 2026, marking the end of a limited-time run at participating store locations.
The pudgypenguins account amplified the closing reminder from @ST_McFly on Oct. 14, which flagged the upcoming last date for the participating shops after what it described as a strong couple of weeks of in-store presence. The activation first rolled out nationwide on Oct. 5, following the partnership's initial announcement in September, bringing Pudgy Penguins-branded drinks into the tea chain's retail footprint.
A physical retail push
The Kung Fu Tea tie-up is the latest in a series of real-world placements for Pudgy Penguins. The brand, originally launched on Ethereum as a collection of 8,888 penguin NFTs before being acquired by Luca Netz in 2022 and repositioned as a consumer brand under Igloo Inc, has leaned heavily into physical distribution. Its toy line has sold more than 1.5 million units through retailers including Walmart and Target, and the mascot Pengu has appeared at New York Comic Con inside Walmart's official booth during the 2026 event.
The collaboration also coincides with a busy stretch for the project, which recently touted more than 120 billion cumulative views on GIPHY and confirmed multiple appearances of its IP at the Nasdaq MarketSite.
What to watch
With the tea activation winding down, attention shifts to Pudgy Penguins' next scheduled physical event: Pengu Blooming Shanghai, a Huddle gathering set for Oct. 17 at a historic 1990s salon with partners deepcoincn, cbid_io and @JoinProxima. The brand has signaled that additional city appearances are planned beyond its current China tour.
