Pudgy Penguins is expanding into the Asia-Pacific region through a new partnership with kakawow_global, one of Asia's leading collectible card brands. Pudgy Penguins announced the collaboration on July 15, 2026, with CEO @LucaNetz amplifying the news that "the Asia expansion continues."
Pudgy Penguins said the partnership marks its formal entry into the Asia-Pacific collectible market at scale. Kakawow Global produces and distributes physical trading cards and collectibles across Asia.
Pudgy Penguins, originally an Ethereum NFT collection of 8,888 hand-drawn penguin characters, has been transitioning into a mainstream consumer brand under Netz's leadership since 2022. The project has already expanded into physical retail with toys sold at Walmart and Target, exceeding 1.5 million units sold. This latest deal extends the brand's physical footprint to Asian markets.
The announcement follows a series of recent Pudgy Penguins initiatives, including live shopping streams on TikTok and Whatnot, restocks of its Vibes TCG at major US retailers, and community events during WebX Tokyo in partnership with Avalanche.
