Maze of Gains Reveals MoG 2.0 With New Battle and Leveling System
onchainheroes has unveiled MoG 2.0, a comprehensive rework of the onchain roguelike Maze of Gains. The studio detailed the new version on July 1, highlighting a new battle system that requires players to learn enemy attack patterns, an overhauled leveling system, and persistent upgrades that carry through a run until completion.
The maze is no longer endless — players now win after clearing Floor 9. New biomes, special rooms, and additional items are also part of the update. onchainheroes said more details will be shared when MoG 2.0 goes live.
Maze of Gains is a turn-based dungeon crawler running on Abstract, where each run contributes to a shared weekly ETH prize pool. The game is developed by onchainheroes, the team behind the strategic idle RPG Onchain Heroes.
No date for the public release of MoG 2.0 has been announced, but the studio is currently running a playtest for content creators. The full feature set will be revealed at launch.
