LOL Land to Close Gates July 31 as YGG Play Platform Sunsets
LOL Land, the play-to-earn board game on Abstract Chain, has confirmed it will shut down on July 31, 2026. In a final call to players, @LOLLandGame urged users to withdraw their in-game assets before the platform retires.
Players must unstake LOL tokens and exchange remaining point balances for YGG rewards before the July 31 cutoff. The team warned against last-minute rushes and encouraged early action to avoid any issues.
The closure follows the broader sunset of YGG Play, the gaming platform operated by @YieldGuild. As detailed in a July 8 guide, YGG Play will fully retire on July 31, with quests and in-game purchases for LOL Land ending earlier on July 9. After the shutdown, some games like @GIGACHADBAT and @RagnarokBreaker will transition to other developers, but LOL Land will cease operations entirely.
LOL Land launched on Abstract Chain as a Monopoly Go-style board game with character NFTs and two modes: casual Free Play and token-powered Premium Mode. The game integrated LOL as its in-game currency and rewarded players with YGG tokens via the YGG Play platform.
With just over a week remaining, players are advised to visit the game and complete all necessary steps to secure their assets.
