Kona Kitties Introduces Shells as Offchain In-Game Currency

@KonaDeFi has unveiled Shells, the offchain unit of value within the upcoming Kona Kitties ecosystem. Players will earn Shells by selling items on the marketplace, completing quests, defeating enemies, and other in-game activities.

A live orderbook will allow users to convert Shells into KONA tokens and vice versa, creating a direct economic link between the game and the broader Kona DeFi protocol on Abstract blockchain.

KONA is the native token of the Kona protocol, which offers trading, lending, and yield products for consumer audiences. The Shells system adds a new demand layer for KONA, as players can trade their in-game earnings for the token.
