Insomniac Brings Festival Fan Loyalty to Avalanche With Rain - Abstract blockchain breaking news

avax announced on Sept. 17 that Insomniac, the live-events company behind some of the world's largest music festivals, is bringing fan loyalty to the Avalanche network in partnership with Rain (raincards).

The announcement was made during Avalanche Summit in New York, where the network has spent the two-day program rolling out institutional and consumer announcements.

Insomniac produces Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) and a slate of other large-scale electronic music events, giving the company a fan base measured in the millions across North America and beyond. Under the arrangement, that audience would be introduced to Avalanche-based loyalty infrastructure through Rain.

Terms of the partnership, the mechanics of the loyalty program, and a launch timeline were not disclosed in the announcement.

Avalanche's Consumer Loyalty Push

The deal extends Avalanche's recent run of fan-engagement integrations, which have leaned heavily on sports. Michigan Athletics launched Wolverine Rewards on Avalanche through Uptop earlier in September, following an NBA fan rewards program in August and college athletics rollouts at Memphis and Nevada. Insomniac marks a shift from team sports into live music and festival culture.

The Summit week also brought institutional news, including Janus Henderson becoming an Avalanche validator and Aave's plans for a real-world asset lending hub on the network.

What to watch: whether Insomniac and Rain disclose program details, ticketing integrations, or an activation tied to an upcoming festival season.
