Fugz NFT Collection Sells Out on Abstract

The Fugz NFT collection has sold out, according to an announcement from the project's official account on August 20. The milestone comes as the 5,555-piece collection of Fuzzy Gopher characters continues to build momentum within the Abstract ecosystem.

Fugz, which operates under the @FugzOfficial handle, is a community-driven NFT project centered around its cast of animated gopher characters. The project has accumulated more than a billion views across Giphy, where its animated Fugz characters are widely shared as GIFs and stickers, extending the IP beyond the NFT holder community.

The sell-out announcement follows a series of recent developments for Fugz, including the launch of a V2 Collector Hub in late July and a partnership with Less Than Three announced on August 14. The project also set August 20 for the 'LT3 Gets Fugged' collaborative event with Less Than Three.

The sell-out represents a key milestone for Fugz as it continues to develop its IP-driven approach to NFTs, leveraging animation and shareable content to build a broader brand around its character designs.
