Final Bosu Launches 'Long Term Memory' Fragment With Six-Month Hold Rule

Final Bosu (finalbosuX) has released a new Fragment called Long Term Memory, adding another holding-based unlock to its growing Fragment roster.

Announced on Sept. 21, 2026, the Fragment requires holders to keep at least half of their collection for six months or longer. The mechanic rewards long-term holding rather than a one-time claim, tying eligibility to a collector's staying power over time.

The drop continues a pattern of requirement-driven Fragment releases from the Ethereum NFT project. In July, Final Bosu introduced WHALE, which asked holders to own 5, 20, or 50 characters depending on tier. August brought Special, claimable by holders of any Special trait, and Forger's Gift, which enabled ownership of characters carrying kurogane, the forger's dark metal.

Final Bosu describes itself as a community-led anime brand, with holders helping design characters, cities, and storylines. Character state is tracked through the project's MEMO identity layer, which surfaces a holder's ID, Growth Path, and token balance and was extended to mobile in mid-August. The project has also teased Tomashi, a short teaser for an upcoming release.

What to watch

The six-month threshold means the first cohort of qualifying holders will not be fully determined until roughly March 2027, positioning Long Term Memory as a longer-horizon test of collection retention than previous Fragment drops.
