Core to Sunset Keystone Hardware Wallet Support on Sept. 1
Drafted by the Descout wire deskHow this was made
Core (coreapp), the Avalanche-native wallet by Ava Labs, announced that support for Keystone hardware wallets will sunset on September 1, 2026. The change applies to all new and existing Keystone wallets, meaning these devices will no longer be compatible with Core after that date.
The announcement, posted August 21, gives Keystone users roughly two weeks to transition. Core serves as a browser extension and mobile app for holding, swapping, and staking assets on Avalanche, and also supports NFTs and DeFi connections. No alternative hardware wallet integration or migration path was mentioned in the announcement.
Users who rely on Keystone devices should review their options and ensure they can access their funds before September 1.
