Centrifuge and Pendle Bring Fixed-Rate RWA Markets to Base
Centrifuge and pendle_fi are collaborating to bring fixed-rate markets to real-world assets on base, according to an announcement from the network's official account on November 3, 2026.
The collaboration opens the door for Centrifuge's range of tokenized assets to support fixed-yield positions and future yield trading on Base. Centrifuge is a protocol focused on tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs), the category covering onchain representations of instruments such as credit, treasuries and other offchain yield-bearing products.
Pendle is a yield-trading protocol that separates yield-bearing assets into principal and yield tokens, letting users lock in fixed rates or speculate on future yield. Applying that structure to RWA tokens would give holders a way to price and trade the yield component of assets that have traditionally been held for their coupon-like returns.
The two projects framed the integration around institutional strategies moving into DeFi, positioning fixed-rate markets as a way to price, trade and manage returns on tokenized assets across onchain venues.
A growing RWA footprint on Base
Base has steadily accumulated tokenized-asset infrastructure over the past several months, including tokenized equities and institutional credit facilities on the network. Fixed-rate markets would add a yield-trading layer to that base of tokenized instruments.
Neither Centrifuge nor Pendle published a launch date, supported asset list or specific terms alongside the November 3, 2026 announcement. What to watch for is which Centrifuge asset pools are enabled first and whether Pendle's market contracts go live on Base in the near term.
