Bloxtel Brings Private 5G Infrastructure Onchain With Avalanche

Bloxtel is bringing private 5G infrastructure onchain with Avalanche, unveiling the AP 201, a single unit that consolidates an entire private 5G stack. avax disclosed the announcement on Sept. 17, 2026.

The AP 201 combines a 5G radio and core, edge computing, and AI-powered network management in one device — a configuration that traditionally requires multiple pieces of hardware and separate management layers.

On the blockchain side, each physical AP 201 is registered on Avalanche, tying individual units to onchain records. Bloxtel's dSIM technology moves subscriber identity and authentication onchain as well, shifting a function normally handled by physical SIM cards and carrier systems.

Bloxtel is a private 5G and edge networking company; Avalanche is the Layer 1 network developed by Ava Labs and supported by the Avalanche Foundation (avalanchefdn). The company did not disclose pricing, availability dates, or the number of units planned.

Real-world deployments targeted

The announcement frames factories, warehouses, hospitals, and stadiums as the intended environments — venues where private networks are deployed for coverage and control rather than public carrier service.
