Bigcoin Announces Chain Migration From Abstract

Bigcoin (bigcoinmining) announced on July 26 that it will be migrating from the Abstract chain (abstractchain) to another chain. The team is currently evaluating options and will provide further details upon completion of research.

The announcement thanks the community for participating in Bigcoin on Abstract and looks forward to "Bigcoin v2." Bigcoin is a proof-of-work virtual mining game on Abstract, featuring the BIG token with a hard cap of 21 million, NFT miners, and merge mining. The project originated with pseudonymous founder Bigtoshi, though Bigcoin clarified on July 10 that it has no affiliation with Bigtoshi.

No timeline or destination chain has been given. Separately, on July 10 Bigcoin said it had no ties to Bigtoshi and confirmed that merge mining was completed in October 2025.
