Base Launches Builder Grant Program With Up to $5K Seed Capital
Base (base) announced a Builder Grant Program on Aug. 10, offering up to $5,000 in seed capital along with go-to-market (GTM) and product support for teams actively developing on the Ethereum Layer-2 network.
The program is designed to provide early-stage builders with a low-friction path to funding and operational guidance. According to the announcement, grants are available to developers already working on Base, though the tweet did not specify application criteria or deadlines.
The launch follows Base's recent Ecosystem Fund announcement from Aug. 6, which said it has backed more than 30 teams and opened applications for new projects. The Builder Grant Program appears to be a complementary initiative targeting smaller or earlier-stage developers.
Base, incubated by Coinbase and led by Jesse Pollak, has been expanding its developer-focused programs as the network continues to grow. Recent milestones include nearly $5 billion in total value locked (TVL), over 46 trillion in cumulative stablecoin volume, and more than 52 million in agent spending via the x402 protocol.
Developers interested in the Builder Grant Program can find more details through the link in the announcement. No further information on funding structure or selection process was disclosed at the time of writing.
