Base Adds 19 Tokenized Stocks, Reports $500M in Weekly Volume

In its weekly recap published Oct. 10, 2026, base said 19 new Coinbase Tokenized Stocks are now live on the network, spanning tickers tied to companies including Sony (SONYc), Nokia (NOKc) and SAP (SAPc).
The same update reported that Base processed $500 million in trading volume on Coinbase Tokenized Stocks during the prior week. The recap also noted that Base was present at Token2049, the industry conference, without detailing the scope of its participation.
A fast-expanding listings sheet
The additions continue a rapid build-out of Base's tokenized-equity offerings. Base said 26 new tokenized stocks went live on Oct. 5, 2026, and Base lead Jesse Pollak has shared a chart showing listing counts climbing from 4 at launch toward roughly 250. Tokenized stocks are onchain representations of publicly traded equity issued through Coinbase that trade onchain like other tokens.
Base is Coinbase's Ethereum Layer-2 network, built on the OP Stack and led by Pollak. It has no native token, and transactions on the network are paid in ETH.
The 500 million volume figure is the first hard trading number Base has attached to the tokenized-stock effort, which has so far been measured mainly by the pace of new tickers.
What to watch: whether trading volume keeps pace as more listings come online, and how Base frames the market in follow-up communications tied to Token2049.
