Avalanche Tokenized Treasuries Back Institutional Loans Via Lynq - Abstract blockchain breaking news

Tokenized U.S. Treasuries on Avalanche can now be used as collateral for institutional loans and trading positions while continuing to accrue interest, according to an announcement from avax on October 27, 2026.

The capability comes through lynq_network's integration with ZeroBeta. Institutions can manage collateral and settle transactions directly on Lynq's Avalanche L1, keeping assets on the network rather than moving them off-chain or to a separate settlement venue.

What changes for institutions

Tokenized Treasuries have typically functioned as a yield-bearing holding rather than working collateral. Under the new setup, the same assets can support borrowing and trading activity while their interest continues to accrue — a structure that addresses the capital efficiency gap that has kept some institutional balance sheets on the sidelines.

Lynq Network operates as an Avalanche L1, meaning it runs its own validator set while settling within the broader Avalanche ecosystem. ZeroBeta provides the infrastructure layer connecting the collateral and settlement functions.

What to watch

Avalanche has positioned itself around institutional tokenization, and the Lynq–ZeroBeta integration extends that push from asset issuance into collateral management and settlement. Neither Lynq nor ZeroBeta has published details on which institutions or asset issuers are participating, collateral parameters, or the range of eligible Treasury products — figures that will determine how much capital the arrangement can actually mobilize.
