Ava Labs Names Charley Cooper President, John Wu Moves to Senior Advisor

Ava Labs, the technology company behind the Avalanche network, announced a series of leadership appointments on Aug. 18, 2026. @John1wu has appointed @CharleyCooper01 as President of Ava Labs, according to the company.

In his new role, Cooper will oversee day-to-day operations and help execute Ava Labs' long-term vision while scaling the business globally. Wu, who previously led the company, will transition to Senior Advisor, where he will remain closely involved in long-term strategy and institutional relationships.

Additionally, encycloplydia has been named Chief Financial Officer after previously serving in the role on an interim basis.

The leadership team brings together experience across technology, regulation, operations, and financial services. Ava Labs said the appointments will support its continued growth and long-term vision, helping guide the next phase of growth for both the company and the Avalanche ecosystem.
