0xcygaar, lead software engineer and CTO of Cube Labs, has shared a preview of an NFT boost system coming to the Abstract Portal in the weeks ahead.
Under the system, holding specific NFTs will make wallets eligible for a rotating weekly boost percentage. The eligible projects and corresponding boost rates will be determined entirely by on-chain data, with the lineup changing each week. The preview shared on March 19 shows a mockup of how the feature will appear inside the portal's interface.
How It Works
The boost system ties NFT holdings directly to portal activity, rewarding holders of qualifying collections with percentage-based boosts on a rolling weekly schedule. Because eligibility is derived from on-chain data, no manual verification or whitelisting process is required — wallets holding eligible NFTs automatically qualify.
0xcygaar noted that the screenshot shared is a mockup and that the final implementation will reflect live on-chain data when it launches.
abstractchain is a consumer-focused Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain developed by Igloo Inc., the parent company of Pudgy Penguins. The Abstract Portal serves as a central hub for user activity within the ecosystem.
No specific launch date for the NFT boost feature has been confirmed. Users holding NFTs on Abstract should watch for official announcements as the rollout approaches in the coming weeks.
